Since the inception of human society, humans have been
introspecting a lot about the nature of laws and customs that are followed
which has been the seeds of human society. There are certain do's and don'ts
written in the books which are presumably written by God Himself. But still the
laws are broken by people without any considerations. Why?
Then there are other norms created by the hubris and
arrogance of the educated which are meant to be followed by the ignorant
because according to the adult and knowledgeable fore keepers of the social order.
An example of this is teenage love which is not considered to be fruitful. But
still every single Indian who is in 16-24years experiences it. How can
something be detrimental when it is being done by almost all impromptu? Who
will define the age to be in a loving relation with someone? But then teenage love
in most of the cases fails. Why? We do not know.
Some elderly people will raise the question of the love
itself being only a physical attraction. Then only those teenagers who are
above the average in terms of looks should fall in love and the subsequent
careers should be in gutters. But this isn't always the case. But then
relationships are mostly one-sided in the age of puberty. But then why do they
fail? Some say it makes you stronger. Yes, pain does get the sutle qualities
out of someone, but what good does it to them? We on one hand worship the God
for creating love and sex (I know people
might disagree), which is the basis of the society, they oppose love marriages.
Why? Is it because of the fear of the unknown or the very fear engraved in
their hearts for the rebellious? Now most commonly relationships break due to
misunderstanding. Why does this come in the picture when they are supposed to
know each other?
Love doesn’t happen overnight, but then the seeds have to be
there for the plant to grow. It is the plant which grows by the sun of trust,
water of care and air of understanding ,The
building of all relations depends on four pillars, trust, care , understanding
and the concealed pillar of sacrifice. I
call this pillar hidden, you don’t keep an account of the sacrifices which you
make.
Now, turning to the point of social customs and
prohibitions, especially on the fairer half of the society. The bureaucrats of
religion will speaks of the facts that women are to blame. " Why do girls
wear provocative dresses ? "True indeed, they should have the civic sense
of what they wear,(I mean nobody expects a girl to wear a mini-skirt while
going alone in the night from work) but
if you look at the records of human history , most of the sexual assaults have
been done on women who are either too weak to protect themselves or are the
victims of violence among the male order.
I am indeed very proud to be a Hindu and believe It is the
greatest of all religions( A Christan might believe Christianity)but the flaw
of all major relgions is the blurring the line between mythology and
philosphy. But the source of this dilemma lies in the fact that we mundane
people don't have the faculties of the mind to comprehend the philosophy behind
the mythology.Take the example of Ramayana, Ram is a manifestation of the GOD
on the earth and present us the living rules for an ideal man. But we worship
Ram as GOD. But if He is an image of GOD Himself. How can we mortals imitate
the perfect following of laws as a
human. This question reflects the dilemma that has been stated earlier.
